Wardrobe Storage: A Different Approach

Big or small, our garment collection needs a place to reside. What might immediately come to mind when thinking of clothing storage is the typical chest of drawers and single-rod-with-a-shelf-above closet. But, in all things related to living, I like to stretch my imagination a bit, go off-course and see where it leads. Building codes aside (often new construction is required to have typical framed closets in bedrooms), vintage suitcases, glassed-in case pieces, glazed walls, curtains, free-standing Swedish-inspired racks, branches for heaven's sake - these non-typical closets will get me every time. Have a look:

How about you? Are you the typical closet type? Or do you lean toward something unusual?

Curious about my closet? Here it is.

Wondering how to develop a smaller, curated wardrobe? My friend Erin has thoughtfully written all the ins and outs: 1/2/3/4/5
